About a Boy is a brilliant film made around 2003. It has some bad language and a suicide scene, but if you get past all that it really is a brilliant film! It's about a boy (lol) who lives with his mother while his father has moved out and has another partner. He meets Will, a carefree man who is really rich but doesn't have to work because his dad made a hit song and he lives off the earnings of it's sellings. He is mildly happy, but has no deep relationships, only shallow ones with pretty tourists!
When they meet and rub each-others corners off, they bond and help each-other. Marcus (the boy) stops getting bullied at school and Will finds his feet and gets a promising girlfriend who may turn into a wife. You think he'd marry Marcus' mother but actually...watch it and see. I'd give it ***** (5 stars) 10/10
It's one of those films where you can watch it again and again. And again. And again. And again. And again. And again (you get my drift lol)
It's a 12's, but if you're old enough (forgive the cliche) you haven't lived 'till you've seen this movie.
